I know, I know,  I haven't put anything up for a long while.  I have been super busy and I my old computer went belly up.  But now I have a new mac pro.  Yae!!!  I did however create lots and lots of cards in Nov.  and only took pictures of a few.  Here are some of them.  Enjoy, and by the way MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Time spent with sister, Michaella's drawing.

Had a great visit with my big sister Michelle from Massachusetts.  My kids got to spend some time with her, but especially Michaella.  They spent the whole day drawing while watching an instructional video on the Internet.  I can't believe how well Michaella did.  She did it all herself, and Michelle created her own as well.   Take a peek at naiveabandon.wordpress.com.  I'm sooo proud of her.  :)

Cricut cardz challenge #28 Fun shoe card

Here is a card I made with the Paisley cart.  I used DCWV, and SU paper, and ribbon.  The flowers are from papertrayink.  I used the cuttlebug for the back ground.  I also used the scallop punch, cut them in half and altered the colors.  The base of the boot I used the DCWV glitter pack.  The brads are from SU.  This card was fun and simple.  Hope you like it.

This is what my two yr old was doing when I was making this card.  She took my ribbon and decided  that Elmo needed a makeover.  Sooo cute. What ever keeps them busy...right?  Anyways I thought it was funny.:)

Father's Day Cards

Here are the cards my daughter and I made yesterday for Father's Day.  It was so much fun.  We used the pine trees from the Paperdolls cricut cart.  The stamps are from the Judith stamp collection, and the paper, ink and ribbon are from stampin up.  My daughter used prima flowers and thought it would be nice to add a special touch by writing on the card instead of stamping the message.  I copied her idea, even adding the dots to the letters.  I love her card it is soo cute and she worked very hard on it.  I love it when we can do these things together.
I don't have but a few days with her until she will be going to her grandparents in Seward for a couple of weeks, and then off to basketball camp. :(  She is getting so big.  I'm am excited for her, but having a hard time with the thought of her gone for so long.  They grow up so fast.  I just have to remember to cherish all these little moments.

Child's Birthday Card

I made this card this weekend for a child turning 3yrs.  My two year old and I were unable to go to the party due to me getting sick (probably not a good idea for me to be coughing all over the little ones).  I got my inspiration from splitcoaststampers.com.  If you don't know about this site, which who doesn't, it's great for ideas.  I go to the SU gallery, and then click on the stamp set of interest.  So many ideas, so little time.  :)
Love, love, this site.

A fellow co-worker asked if I would make a picture frame for her to give as a gift, and a card for her mother with her picture.  I tried to use the cricut, but I had to use me creative memories cutters.  If anyone does a project on how to make a picture frame with the cricut let me know.

Stretch your imagination frustration

I have to say I was a little frustrated with this cartridge when trying to make a card and layering it.  I tried to do what I do when using the Wild Card cart(love, love the Wild Card cart).  Does not work the same, when you try to use the card button and then try to layer it doesn't work. :(  I went to mypinkstamper.com youtube videos to see if she had any answers and the card she made on the video was really cute, but she seemed to have the same issue.  Well anyways if anyone has any tips on how to use this cart let me know.  This is the card I made using it, but if you look close you can see I had trouble with the layering (it was either too small or too big).  I wasted a lot of paper.  I do have to say despite the issues with it the card, turned out pretty cute.
Recipe:
Stretch your Imagination cricut cart.
SU Rich Razzleberry, Cameo coral, Razzleberry lemonade, Barely banana
Sping mix vintage button from papertrayink.com

Great NSD Weekend!!!

What a fun weekend. Had a BBQ with friends on Friday.  I got to go to my card club on Saturday.  I made some crafts with my 10 yr old daughter and today after work I was able to sneak some time to take part in a few challenges on My pink stamper.  The great thing about the challenges is that I work better with less time.  On Saturday at my card club, I only made a few bookmarks and one card.  I was there for at least 4 hrs.  Maybe because we are chatting and sharing ideas.  I also put in another SU order in.  (They are discontinuing some colors I like, so I had to stock up on them.) I love getting together with the club, I just tend to chat a lot :). Anyways I had way less time after work tonight and made better progress.

I did get to go on ebay and get Sweettreats and Forever Young carts.  I have been drooling over these carts for a little while now, but I was only going to buy them if I got a good deal and I did.  Yae!!!  Can't wait to use them.
Here are the bookmarks I made and my card.  Hope you like them.

Friendship

After reading Amy's post from Pickled Paper Designs, I was inspired to make a card for my friend whom I've known for years.
This week has taught me a lot about friendship.  It's nice to have friends who are there for you when it gets bad, but it's especially important for you to always have your friends back when things get rough.  I made this card for a special friend of mine, who's always been there for me when ever I've needed her.  This time it's my turn and I hope this card lets her know I'm thinking of her.  I also hope this card inspires you to do or make something for that person you know is having a hard time and may need just a little something to know someone cares.

Love Aubree Card

Here's a quick card I made in between trying to get other things done. I'm getting ready for our town's Art Guild Auction and getting my two year old ready to go to a birthday party. It's her first party she's ever been too. I won't be able to take her:( because of the auction (I'm the secretary. How that happened, I'll never know.).

Here's the card I made for her to take. I had her sign the inside. My 10 yr old was appalled that I would let her scribble in it. Little does she know I let her do the same thing when she was little.

Recipe:

Paisley Cricut cart. Frog cut at 2 3/4

SU pink passion cut at 5 1/2 by 8 1/2

DCWV paper glitter stack

SU tempting turquoise, basic black

SU ribbon (might be discontinued, but you can buy yellow dot ribbon from papertrayink.com)

K&company daisies (LOVE these daisies)

Hope you enjoy the card.

Simple Doodlecharms card

Here's a card I made when I received my Doodlecharms in the mail and DCWV paper.

Supplies used: Doodlecharms Cricut cart., DCWV Glitter Sweet stack paper, SU paper, My cute stamps, SU ribbon and Dew Drop Versa magic ink.

This card was quick and easy. Sometimes I like to see how simple of a card I can make with just a few supplies. This is how I entise my nay sayer friends when they say, "It's to hard to make a card"or "I just don't have the time." I've converted many with this tactic.

Not so perfect card

Last weekend I received my goodies from customcrops.com. I was so excited. I had finally gotten the Cuttlebug and some embossing folders, a fabulously cute stamp set from "My Cute stamps" called "Circus Animals", and another Cricut cart. "From my Kitchen". If you have never been to their site, they always have some awesome deals going. I buy all my Cricut carts. from them because they are the cheapest I've found so far (I buy them when they are on sale).   I can hardly resist the "Buy $100 and get free shipping". (and I may or may not of bought just one more Cricut cart. this weekend from them.) If anyone knows where else I can get inexpensive carts. let me know. I'm always looking for a deal. I live in rural Alaska where there are no roads in or out of our town, so shopping for crafts is all on the Internet. (No Hobby Lobby here)

Anyways... after the kids went to bed, my husband and I sat down to watch a movie. I just couldn't help it, I kept getting the itch to play with my new stuff. Well I didn't want to neglect my husband, so I brought my things out to the living room. I didn't want to damage the coffee table, so I brought out a Rubbermaid container. "What?!!"you say, "Stamping on a Rubbermaid container?! NO!!". Well I did :(.  The elephant came out perfect, but the Happy Birthday, not so perfect. I knew better then to stamp on a weak surface and I did it anyway. I still love my little elephant card though and wanted to share it with you. Isn't he the cutest thing. I could definitely get addicted to these stamps.
