Father's Day

The girls stayed up late the night before Father's Day making their dad a card.  I think they did a great job!  The cards turned out awesome and it was fun spending time with them.

Here are Ashley's cards.  She made one for her dad and stepdad.

Here's the card Michaella made for her Daddy.

Here's the card I made for my Dad.  I got the Shirt idea from YouTube.  I thought it was so fun, and surprisingly easy.  I used SU stamp, brads and paper.

The girls wanted to give their dad a picture, but the youngest insisted on wearing her PJs.  We took so many and the two oldest really enjoyed the "fashion shoot", but the youngest only wanted a couple of pictures outside.   Then when their dad came home they dog piled him, so I had to get some pictures.  These are only a few.

Birthday card for mom

I made this card for  my mom's birthday this month.  I believe I used the Sentimentals Cricut cart and SU stamps and paper, and DCWV paper.

I made it so the tag in the front and vines hang off the ends.

Aubree wanted to decorate Nana's cake.  She took the sprinkles and pour a huge pile right smack dap in the middle of the cake and declared it "Beautiful!" She insisted on putting the candles on just the right spot.

I'm so excited I got an award!!!  Terri over at http://myneed2craft.blogspot.com gave it to me. :)  Thank you, Thank you!!!

I have recieved other awards before, but this is the first one I was able to post on my blog in a timely manner..Such as Misha over at madebymisha.blogspot.com  (Thanks Misha!) and Jennifer at countrycricut.blogspot.com (Thanks Jennifer!!).  All of these lady's are very talented, sweet and inspirational.  You gotta check out their blogs!!

Now for the rules of this award.

Post this wonderful award on your blog.  Share this award with 10 other people you think have
Cricut-tastic blogs.  Then share 5 cricut related things about yourself.

1.  I got my cricut Christmas 2009.
2.  I've persuaded 4 friends they need a cricut which resulted in them purchasing their own.  :) (Gotta share that addiction)lol!!
3.  I now own about 37 carts. and think I need more....like I said it's an addiction.
4.  My husband thought the cricut would be just a passing phase...boy was he wrong.  He now thinks it was a good decision.
5.  I couldn't get through the instructional video that went with the cricut...I literally kept falling asleep, so I learned how to use it by watching youtube videos like Above Rubies Studio and My Pink Stamper.

Here are just some of the blogs I think are CRICUT-TASTIC...

My pink Stamper Challenge #5 Make a 3D project

Here's a quick project I made from Tags, Bags, Boxes and more while my friend Karen was working hard on her scrapbook pages.  I had a creative mind block, so I thought I'd make something fast.  I love purses and I wish I was talented enough to sew them.  Karen sews sooooo maybe she'll teach me.....HINT, HINT.

Here's the link for this challenge

My Pink Stamper Challenge #8 Make a Summer Theme project

One of the things we like to do is go to Anchorage in the summer and drive to Seward and Soldotna.  The drive is amazing!!  The one thing besides the beautiful mountains is the wildlife we see; dull sheep, whales, moose, and even caribou (along the side of the road between Kenai and Soldotna).  So this card represents summer for us in Alaska.

Recipe:

DCWV paper
SU paper, brads, and metal frame
Give a hoot cart.

My Pink Stamper Challenge #7 Make a Scrapbook Page

We didn't get started until late afternoon here in Alaska, so most of the challenges were already started.  We  did ours out of order...which ever we were inspired to do first.
I wanted to get started on my 11 year old's baby book, so I cropped photos and made the very first page to it last night.  It was fun to go through the pictures with her and tell her the story of when she was born...It was one of the happiest days in my life. :)

Recipe:
All SU paper, ribbon, scallop punch and pearl accent
My cricut friend's Storybook cart.
Serenade cart.
The letters and numbers from my Gypsy
Prima flowers

My Pink Stamper Challenge #1 Cupcake card

Wow what a fun National Scrapbook Day.  My friend and I stayed up until 3am.  Can you believe it?!   We didn't even realize it.  Then I was woken up this morning by my 3 year old shaking my head saying "Get up mom, Get up mom, It's breakfast time!!!".  My husband and 11 year old soon followed with a plate of breakfast, wishing me "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!"  I was sooooo exhausted, but it was very sweet.  I love my family.
Well we decided to do some of the My Pink Stamper Challenges for National Scrapbook Day, and we will be doing more projects today....as soon as Karen arrives (my cricut friend).  She's my friend who is just as addicted to paper crafts as I am...lol.
O.K.  so here is the card I made for this challenge.  I made this with my gypsy.  I was going to put a face on the cupcake, but decided not too.

Cupcake blog hop inspiration

Here is the card I made after being inspired last night by the Cupcake blog hop, while my toddler was sleepy today.  She's been such a challenge herself lately.  The terrible twos going into terrible threes.  Need I say more?

Anyways.....I enjoyed this challenge because I love making cupcake cards and plus cupcakes are yummy.  I made this card using my Gypsy.

Recipe:

All the solid paper and ribbon is from Stampin Up.  Cuttle Bug D'vine Swirl embossing folder (my favorite so far)

I used the stamp, scalloped oval punch and plain oval punch from Stampin Up.  Flowers are from PTI.

DCWV patterned and glitter paper.  Cupcake is from Straight from the Nest.

Here are some cards I made a while ago and thought I would include them.

This card was made from the Wild card cart.  I had just watched My Pink Stamper on Youtube and was learning how to use my cricut.

My walmart card.  Everything, but the stamp was from Walmart.  I was staying with a friend in Anchorage and needed a card fix.:)

This orange cupcake card was inspired last summer by Live Love and Scrap.  Her cards are so creative and fun.  You should check her blog out and youtube videos if you haven't already.

This card was one of my first Cricut cards.  I Made it from Doodle Charms, back when I only had but a few carts.  Now I have almost forty.  It's an addiction, I've said it before.  I know some of you can relate. ;)

Owl card

The wind was blowing about 50mph here in Bethel today, so my work let us go home early.  The roads were bad, but we made it home alright.
Did I take advantage of the time and make a scrumptious dinner?  No, we had left overs and I made a card.  I haven't been able to in a long time, so I did.  I think it turned out cute.  The colors aren't as dark in person, but I still haven't figured out my camera yet.

Recipe:
Owl from create a critter cart.
K and company designer paper
Stampen up stamps, paper, ribbon and punches
Flower is from paper tray ink
Embossing done with Cuttle Bug Swirls folder
